Bats symbolize death and rebirth. Sometimes, they are known as the “Guardian of the Night.” It is largely misunderstood and so therefore many of its symbolic meanings are inappropriately fear-based. The bat is a symbol of rebirth and death because it is a creature that lives in the belly of Mother (Earth).

In Chinese culture, the bat is viewed as a symbol of happiness. They are amazing creatures. Bats can fly in huge hoards while never hitting each other because of echolocation. This ability is linked with the gift of clairaudience, which awakens the ability to hear spirits in some beliefs.
